Luminance Colorimeter RD-80SA

A multifunctional instrument that accurately visualizes subtle light variations in displays and lighting systems.
It enables precise response-time measurements — a key factor in achieving smoother motion and higher image quality in LCD displays.

Outline

Designed for high-speed, high-accuracy optical evaluation, the RD-80SA Response-Time and Color Luminance Meter precisely captures even the smallest changes in light output from displays and lighting sources.
It measures luminance, chromaticity, color temperature, response characteristics, and flicker with exceptional accuracy — making it ideal for analyzing the temporal behavior of LCDs, LED backlights, and lighting systems.

With its high-sensitivity optical architecture, the RD-80SA can detect flicker components as small as 0.04 cd/m² in luminance difference.
It supports Gray-to-Gray response-time evaluation, enabling detection of overshoot and undershoot phenomena caused by overdrive circuits.

The instrument also supports luminance response evaluation based on human visual sensitivity, making it invaluable for R&D, quality assurance, and lighting control applications where accurate quantification of light behavior is essential.
Built on TechnoOptis’ decades of optical measurement expertise, the RD-80SA delivers proven reliability and precision for display evaluation and performance analysis.
